Super-Galactic Saturday, June 23rd at Cernan Earth and Space Center combines three unique events into one, fun-filled night dedicated to entertaining and informing all ages about galactic topics and recent discoveries in astronomy and Earth science. The event is open to the public.
Show Schedule
7:00pm - Dinosaurs in Space. Hosted by an entertaining dinosaur duo, this popular show features a unique and informative look at these fascinating creatures, plus a journey into space that is out of this world. The Friendly Stars mini show. Hosted by an animated sun (named Sol), this children’s mini show describes the very basics of astronomy, including stars, the sun, planets and current season’s star pictures.
8:00pm - Monthly Skywatch. One Saturday night each month, the Cernan Center’s Monthly Skywatch brings you the excitement of the current nighttime sky; the latest discoveries in astronomy, space science and Earth science; and if weather permits, the opportunity to observe the moon, planets and other wonders of the sky through telescopes set up on the lawn outside the building.
9:30pm - Legends of Rock Laser Show. This 60-minute-plus laser show features the music from a variety of classic rock artists.
Admission for the 7pm and 8pm shows is $8 for adults and $4 for children and senior citizens. For the 9:30pm show admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children and senior citizens.
