Help protect you from identity theft by attending a free shred event hosted by the Village of Franklin Park, State Representative Camille Lilly and AT&T on Saturday, July 22nd from 9 AM to Noon at the Police Station. Bring documents that contain your personally identifiable information such as old bank statements, tax returns, bills, receipts, credit card applications and outdated medical records to be safely shredded. Please remember to remove all paper clips, staples, and other bindings.
The Village will also collect electronics for proper recycling including TVs, computer equipment, printers, cell phones, DVD & VCR players, keyboards, MP3/iPod players, microwaves, toasters and other electronic equipment and tools. A complete list of items accepted here ...........................
The Police Department will also accept medications and prescription drugs to ensure safe disposal. Please note that there is a limit of only two boxes of material to be shredded per car. Cardboard boxes cannot be left at event. This is a residential shredding only (no commercial shredding) event and shredding will be accepted until shred trucks reach capacity.
