The Village will partner with State Representative Camille Lilly to host a free Shred Event on Saturday, August 27, from 10 AM to Noon in the parking lot of the old Franklin Park Police Station. Shredding documents helps to protect your personal identity and to keep your private information out of the trash. The event is open to residents only and is not available for business use. No other items can be included. Two containers limit per person. You can also drop off electronics to be recycled.
Also, the Village will collect old and unwanted cell phones that day to refurbish for seniors to utilize in emergency situations.AT&T is underwriting the cost of the Shredding Truck.
