The Freedom of Information Act allows members of the public to request records from Illinois municipalities. This page explains how to request information and records from the Village of Franklin Park. The Village of Franklin Park is a municipality incorporated and organized under the laws of the State of Illinois for the purpose of providing its residents with the following services:

- Street Maintenance and Repairs
- Maintain Village Documents

The approximate amount of the operating budget is $25,000.000. The Village’s sole office is located at 9500 Belmont Avenue in Franklin Park. The Village also has two fire stations, located at 10001 Addison, 3113 Atlantic Avenue and 2946 Elm Street. The Police Department is located at 9451 Belmont Avenue. Fleet Maintenance and Water Department are located at 9300 Belmont Avenue, with the Utilities Department located at 9501 Belmont Avenue. The Village currently employs approximately 150 full-time and 50 part-time employees.

Requests must include requestor(s) name, contact information and stating whether or not the information will be used for commercial purposes. If you desire that any records be certified, you must indicate that in your request and specify which records must be certified.
Fees for any such records, if the person requesting the records wished them to be copied, are as follows:
- First 50 pages, black and white, letter or legal size copies, no cost.
- Additional pages, black and white, letter or legal, $0.15.
- Electronic records will be formatted subject to reimbursement for costs of recording medium.
- Color copies or copies in a size other than letter or legal shall be reimbursed to actual costs.
- Costs of certifying a record will be $1.00.
